Villarreal star midfielder Santi Cazorla could be out for the season after suffering a leg fracture during their victory over Almeria.

The Spain international will have a scan today to assess the extent of the damage, but he is out of Villarreal's Champions League quarterfinal against Arsenal and not expected to appear again this season.

"I am very sad because I was having a good season, this is difficult to take," said Cazorla.
