Villarreal veteran Santi Cazorla has again declared a hope of playing again for Arsenal.
Cazorla was with Arsenal for six years, but was offloaded 18 months ago after a long-term and complicated ankle injury. He hadn't played for the Gunners since October 2016.
Now with Villarreal - and in the Spain squad - Cazorla says: "I don't know if it's possible or not, but I would like to play one more match for Arsenal before I retire. It is a great regret to me that I did not say good-bye.
"Arsenal is the biggest club I've ever played for, and I'm proud to have been there. I am especially grateful to Arsenal fans who supported me even though I took off from there.
"I wish I could be part of the Gunners family in the future again."
