Former Napoli defender Raul Albiol has completed his move to Villarreal.

Villarreal have paid Albiol's €4m buyout clause to bring him back to Spain.

“These have been six incredible years. I thank all the fans for the support they gave me," the defender told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Only the Scudetto dream was missing, but I hope it comes true eventually. Napoli have a great future. They have a great team, with a great Coach. Hopefully we'll win something soon.

“Certainly next season it'll be a two-horse fight with Juventus for the Scudetto. As for Sarri at Juve, nothing is taken for granted in football.

“There have been so many players who have moved between teams who hate each other.

“It doesn't surprise me. Everyone must be able to make their own decisions, and they must be respected."
