Villarreal midfielder Santi Cazorla was full of pride wearing the Spain captain's armband yesterday.
Wearing the captain's armband for the second half of Spain's win against the Faroe Islands was a dream come true for Cazorla.
"Wearing the armband is another dream fulfilled for me," he said.
"I'm enjoying this a lot, but the important thing is for me to help the team."
Although expected to beat the Faroe Islands, it was thought that La Roja would face some troubles because of the artificial surface.
"The important thing was to win," Cazorla added.
"We knew it'd be difficult because of the pitch and that they were going to close us.
"But we were better in many aspects of the game and we're happy."
