Villarreal midfielder Santi Cazorla has declared he intends to play on next season.

After being released by Arsenal and appearing forced into retirement, Cazorla has produced a stunning career recovery with Villarreal this term.

He stated, "Right now the sensations that I have are very good, I think I can play some more years, I arrived with the aim of being able to play at the first level and I am fine and with very good sensations.

"I've fought for it and I feel good, I hope to enjoy football much longer.

"Right now I do not think about my future, I have enough with the day to day and we have enough in the team with the situation we are in. Right now is not the time to think about the future and we just have to focus on thinking of saving the team.

"When it's over, we'll see how things are, how everyone is doing."
