Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals was left angry with Sergio Busquets during defeat to Barcelona.

Despite being international teammates with La Roja, the pair clashed on the pitch as they struggled for a loose ball with both individuals on the ground, and video replays appeared to show Barcelona's number five aiming a slap at the 22-year-old.

"He hit me with a slap," Fornals attempted to tell the referee.

No action was taken against the three-time Champions League winner, although shortly after Fornals looked for his revenge and was shown a yellow card for a foul on Busquets.
