Villarreal defender Juan Foyth has made an appeal to fans ahead of their weekend clash with Getafe.

Villarreal go into the game suffering a poor run of form.

Foyth said, “No team likes to have four consecutive defeats. We've started the week with a lot of optimism, but at the same time with a lot of responsibility because we are aware of the situation. We have to keep working to get positive results."

Regarding the game against Getafe, which will be played next Monday at the Estadio de la Cerámica, Foyth said: “It will be a tough game. At home we have to be strong and be dominant. Getafe are a very tough team who will give us many challenges, as they did in the first meeting this season.

“On Monday at the Estadio de la Cerámica we need the support of our fans to get the game off to a good start. This year they continue to accompany us match after match and when you're not in a good moment, that's when you need them the most. We look forward to seeing you on Monday."
