Villarreal coach Unai Emery admits he didn't appreciate the timing of Kylian Mbappe's decision to re-sign with PSG.

Mbappe announced over the weekend that he would be rejecting long time suitors Real Madrid and penning a new deal with PSG.

Former PSG coach Emery said: “It's a very personal decision, but it came too late.

"I really appreciate the kid and I respect his decision, but not the timing or the form. It's not good for football."

Mbappe has signed a new three-year deal with PSG.
