Villarreal coach Unai Emery is confident defeat to Levante won't affect their preparations against Champions League opponents Bayern Munich.

Emery felt they paid for wasteful finishing.

He said, "The team had a good attitude and took control, although not as much as we'd have wanted. That was the path we needed to take to win the game, but we weren't clinical in front of goal. Levante also play well and found the way to get into the game. The team who scored first had a big advantage and that was Levante. We put in a performance like we'd planned. Now we need to prepare for the next game, with all the excitement that comes with the Champions League."

Now, Villarreal will face FC Bayern at the Estadio de la Cerámica in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

“The match against Bayern will be a very diffrent game. Against Levante, we were close to their box, but we lacked a cutting edge to make the match different. These defeats away from home damage you. Now we need to focus on Wednesday's game," concluded Emery.
