Villarreal coach Unai Emery concedes he had communication problems at Arsenal.

Emery acknowledges he had trouble speaking with Arsenal's players in English during his time in London.

He told El Periodico Mediterraneo: "To be able to speak in Spanish? Several of my relatives have told me about it. Roberto Olabe told me that my performances would be better, with the best transmission of the language, in Spain.

"In France, I had to spend time learning French. I like to read and study aspects such as leadership or group management. And it's important for me to talk to the players a lot. This is why in Paris, even though I spoke in French and gave 20-minute presentations, I did not have the same ability to communicate.

"In England it's the same."
