Villarreal coach Javi Calleja paid tribute to Sevilla's home fans for their support of Santi Cazorla.

The former Arsenal midfielder was handed a start by Calleja for the 0-0 draw and he was given a rousing ovation when substituted in the second-half.

Calleja said, "It must be emphasised. Santi deserves it, we must highlight his efforts and his involvement in everyday life while he was injured.

"I thank the public of Sevilla, for the behavior they had towards him."

Cazorla is now back in action this season after almost two years of injury keeping him sidelined.
