Villarreal coach Unai has welcomed Pablo Villanueva as his new assistant coach.

Emery needed to shake up his staff after the departure of Imanol Idiakez.

Villanueva, who was already on the Hondarribia-born coach's staff, becomes the club's first technical assistant and assistant coach.

Meanwhile, Antonio Rodríguez 'Rodri' becomes the second technical assistant.

Villarreal's preseason kicks off in the first week of July.
