Villa youth chief McAndrew delighted Houllier giving kids their chance

Aston Villa youth coach Tony McAndrew is delighted seeing his graduates get their chance this season.

Four graduates of the club's renowned academy system - Marc Albrighton, Barry Bannan, Nathan Delfouneso and Ciaran Clark - made key contributions in the 1-1 draw at Fulham.

Two other young lions - Eric Lichaj and Jonathan Hogg - were named among the substitutes.

McAndrew told AVTV: "Saturday was everything this job is about for us.

"Seeing so many young players you have worked with in the youth team, seen come through the reserves and end up playing a Premier League game for the first team, that is what really gives us a buzz doing this job.

"I was really, really proud on Saturday - as all the academy staff were - that we had so many youngsters starting the game."
