A trio of Premier League clubs are believed to be monitoring former England defender Sol Campbell.
The ex-Tottenham, Arsenal and Portsmouth man, who recently walked away from a five-year deal with League Two club Notts County, is being tracked by Aston Villa, Wolves and Hull City along with Championship club Newcastle.
The clubs are monitoring the situation the 35-year old is in after he terminated his contract with Notts County and he will have to appeal to be allowed to join a club before the January transfer window.
Campbell is not allowed to join another club under FIFA rules because he broke his contract but Professional Footballers Association chief executive Gordon Taylor has backed him to make an appeal in a bid to find a new club before January.
