Aston Villa U21 coach Gordon Cowans was impressed by summer signing Jordan Bowery in their draw with Tottenham.

Bowery, who signed from Chesterfield in August, scored one and set up another for Graham Burke in Monday's 3-3 draw at White Hart Lane.

"Jordan Bowery is handful," Cowans told avfc.com.

"He is a big, powerful lad, a good target man and he has got pace as well. He pulls off the shoulders of defenders and gets behind people.

"It is a big thing for him to get his first goal for the football club."
