Aston Villa striker Darren Bent still feels on trial for England.
Despite scoring four in his last five Three Lions outings and striking 14 times in 26 Villa matches, he will not take anything for granted.
Left out of Fabio Capello's 2010 World Cup squad, Bent said: "So much can change, even going back to 2006 when I got left out of that one.
"I can't count my chickens but if I keep playing well for Villa and the ball keeps flying in the net, I'm happy.
"Every time you play for your country you are on trial and if I get selected against Spain and Sweden, I'll hopefully hang on to the shirt. I remember playing against Brazil a couple of years ago and thinking 'wow, I've never played a team like it'.
"This is going up another gear. Spain are the world's best team."
