England boss Fabio Capello has confirmed Aston Villa winger Ashley Young as a certain starter for Wednesday's international friendly against Holland in Amsterdam.

Last season's FA Young Player of the Year has been given an opportunity following the withdrawal of Liverpool's Steven Gerrard due to a groin injury and Capello is keen for him to do well.

"We'll play Ashley Young. This is very important, he's played only two times with me and I'm happy for him," the Italian tactician told reporters.

"He played very well when he played in the last game at home. It's a good test for him.

"I saw the game he played (for Villa) in the Peace Cup and this is a good moment of form for him."
