Villa's Strain brothers eyeing future Australia berth

Ryan and Thomas Strain are both hoping to one day play for Australia.

The England-born teenagers joined Aston Villa's youth academy in 2012 after returning to the UK following their move to Australia as kids.

Both Ryan and Thomas are Australian citizens but are eligible to represent England, Ireland and Scotland, however, they are keen to turn out for the Socceroos at some point in their career.

"I'd like to play for Australia," Ryan told au.fourfourtwo.com.

"I'm looking to go pro with Villa, or go on to play in Australia for Adelaide or something.

"I played behind Thomas when we were at Modbury and I like playing with him - we've got a good chemistry.

"We both want to play for Australia. That's the dream, to do it together, we'll see what happens."
