Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is eyeing Portsmouth defender Sylvain Distin.
The Daily Mail says O'Neill is chasing the Frenchman, who is the subject of a £2 million bid from Liverpool.
Middlesbrough's David Wheater is also on Villa's shopping list.
