Aston Villa are holding out for the best possible price for defender Carlos Cuellar and that might be too much for his former club Glasgow Rangers to agree a deal. The 29-year-old's future at Villa Park is uncertain following the appointment of Alex McLeish as new manager.
Rangers boss Ally McCoist is doubtful the Scottish giants will be able to rustle up the cash for the Spaniard, with a £1.5million offer having already been rejected by the Villans as they're said to want double that amount.
"Gordon Smith (director of football) has been talking to Aston Villa about Carlos," McCoist told the Daily Record.
"I'm very keen for that deal to go through, but I don't think we'd be going as far as £3million to make it happen."
