Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is ready to up his bid for West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker.
The Daily Mail says McLeish hopes money from the Stewart Downing sale to Liverpool, and Ashley Young's departure to Manchester United, will be released to fund an improved bid for Parker.
Parker is eager to return to the Premier League and has already rejected an offer from Fenerbahce in order to stay in England.
