Villa, Man City warns off Wolves keeper Hennessey

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has shrugged off growing interest in goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey.

Aston Villa and Manchester City have been linked with the young shot-stopper, but McCarthy told his club's website: "We get a list of scouts that are coming to our games so we know who's looking. But I would expect Wayne to be watched.

"It's the same at any club when you have someone doing well.

"It doesn't matter a jot. He's under contract. We look at so called smaller clubs and the Premiership look at our League."

Hennessey signed a new deal in August that ties him to Wolves until June 2010.
