Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Friedel has welcomed their Carling Cup draw with Portsmouth.

Villa avoided Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United in the quarter-finals and the goalkeeper says the team will take that all day long.

"It is a good draw to get Portsmouth," he said.

"It is still a hard draw, though, as they are all Premier League sides now left in the competition but it will give us another chance."
