Former Aston Villa defender Dion Dublin has been left disappointed by this season's campaign.
Dublin feels his old club have underachieved.
"I think Villa have underachieved," he told talkSPORT.
"Their fans have had nothing to cheer about, even where I was there, and we had Paul Merson, David Ginola, David James, George Boateng, we achieved nothing and they're still achieving nothing now, it's really frustrating for the club.
"For a club of that size, surely they should be challenging with other clubs like Liverpool, having 45,000 people at every home game, it's underachieving and it's not fair on the fans.
"The current Villa players have really got to give back something, because fans can't keep buying season tickets and getting nothing for their money, it's wrong."
