Aston Villa fullback Nicky Shorey admits he is enjoying his time on-loan at Nottingham Forest.
It's been mooted Forest boss Billy Davies will seek to sign Shorey permanently during the January transfer window.
Shorey, a Championship title winner with Reading in 2006, said: "I have only played five games for the club, but the team has been playing really well. Promotion is always hard to get from the Championship. It is probably the hardest division to get out of.
"We are playing with confidence, but there is a long way to go and anyone can beat anyone.
"But it would nice to give the fans something to cheer about. They have been really good to me and so have the team. It is just nice to be wanted and playing again."
