Aston Villa fullback Eric Lichaj is pleased with his personal form.

The USA international has enjoyed an extended first team run due to injuries to senior teammates.

"I am working hard and I am just doing what I can," he told the Birmingham Mail.

"It is too bad we haven't won for a few weeks but hopefully that is going to change.

"It is not my natural side, but I am happy playing there. My left foot could always get better and it is something I need to work on. But I am all right playing there - left-back or right-back, I'm fine.

"Over the summer I played left-back for the USA and when I was on loan at Leeds I played there too so it is nothing out of the ordinary for me.

"I've been playing full-back for quite a few years so it comes naturally and I am not getting too many nerves during games. I am enjoying football at the moment."
