Fit-again Aston Villa fullback Freddie Bouma was delighted with his latest comeback in the reserve-team's draw with Wolves this week.
"My last 90 minutes were six months ago with the reserves, then I had another couple of 90 minutes but it didn't feel right," Bouma told Villa's website.
"Then I had to go back for another operation. I'm just glad to be back out there playing 90 minutes without any pain on the ankle.
"It's now just getting into it again. I feel everything is coming back which is a wonderful feeling.
"You think because you suffered such a horrible injury you will have some discomfort but before it was more than discomfort. You can cope with that but not with pain.
"It looks really well now so I feel very positive."
