Aston Villa fear losing star striker Christian Benteke.

The Sunday Mirror says Tottenham, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been alerted by Benteke's brilliant start to life in England with ­crisis club Villa.

Striker Benteke is one of the signings of the season, having already ­netted 11 goals - ­including a brace against Liverpool at Anfield.

Tottenham have so far shown the strongest interest, but Arsenal, City and Liverpool will also watch him carefully until the end of the season.

Villa would find it hard to keep Benteke if the club is relegated to the Championship and face a fight to retain the 22-year-old even if they stay up.
