In-demand Metz defender Sebastien Bassong has told any interested parties that they will have to wait until the end of the season to secure his signature.

The France Under-21 international has been linked with a move to The Premier League, with Aston Villa, Everton and Blackburn Rovers all reportedly in the frame.

"I won't leave Metz before the end of the season, but then I'll sit down and take stock," Bassong told the Sunday Mirror.

"I am flattered to know that such big clubs are interested in me, but right now I'll concentrate on trying to get Metz out of trouble."
