Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar says they're happy when Brad Friedel is IGNORED by the media.

Cuellar believes the impressive performances of Villa's new-look back four has meant less exposure for the evergreen shot-stopper.

He told Villa's website: "Brad is fantastic but he rarely gets mentioned after the game. Let's keep it that way. That's the way we like it.

"If he's not getting mentioned it means we are doing our defensive jobs properly. If you look at it, we're not giving teams many chances. Even Chelsea scored from outside the box.

"I think we are working very hard at the back and things are going really well for us."
