Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is expected to step up his bid to capture Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone next week, reports the Birmingham Mail. The 22-year-old has been made available by Harry Redknapp and it is understood that a move to Villa Park could be on the cards.

A fee of about £8?million has been mooted for the former England U21 international.
