Aston Villa chief Paul Faulkner insists the club has not been put up for sale.
Faulkner, who is in daily contact with Villa owner Randy Lerner , denied reports in a national newspaper that the American chairman/owner is actively looking to sell for £200 million.
Paul Faulkner told the Birmingham Mail: "I can categorically confirm that Aston Villa Football Club has absolutely not been put up for sale and that Randy Lerner is not actively looking to sell the club."
