Aston Villa chairman Tony Xia has refused to comment on the recent speculation linking his club with a move for Chelsea veteran John Terry.

The 36-year-old, who is set to become a free agent on July 1, has been strongly linked with a move to Villa recently.

After a fan asked the Chinese businessman about the speculation regarding Terry, he decided to quote United manager Jose Mourinho and tweeted: "Quoted Jose M. 'I am not going to talk about a player who still belongs to another club' as JT's contract with CFC expires until 1/7."
