Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is convinced he can hold onto his best players.

He said: "With Gareth keeping his England place there might be an element of the younger boys thinking 'It can happen here and you don't have to be playing for Manchester United'.

"As far as Ashley is concerned we have heard nothing from Madrid and he's not for sale."
