Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert hopes to add more signings to his squad before the Premier League kickoff.

Philippe Senderos, Joe Cole and Kieran Richardson have already arrived at Villa Park.

Lambert said: "I'm still looking to bring another couple of signings in when we return.

"We have good competition for places now but I want to push on again."
