Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert has warned of the consequences of West Ham United's attempts to overturn Andy Carroll's ban.
West Ham want the FA to take the case to an arbitration panel after referee Howard Webb's decision to send off the striker following a clash with Swansea City's Chico Flores was upheld.
"You can understand them trying to do it," Lambert said. "But if it gets over-ruled you create a monster where everyone else will want to do the same."
