Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert says Joe Cole faces two weeks out with a hamstring injury.
Lambert admits Carlos Sanchez will step in for Cole.
"Joe has injured his hamstring. So I think it will be hopefully a couple of weeks, maybe. It's not too bad. Hopefully he gets back quicker.
"Joe was excellent at Burnley but, to be fair, Carlos came on at Palace and was excellent for us. Joe's misfortune gave Carlos that chance to get back in again.
"But Joe was fantastic against Burnley."
