Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is blocking Alan Hutton from moving to West Bromwich Albion.
The Mirror says Lambert has done a big U-turn and wants to keep right-back Hutton, having not selected him in his two years as manager.
The Baggies are dangling a longer contract for the Scotland international, whose £32,000-a-week deal is set to expire next summer.
But Villa insist Hutton must go on their pre-season tour to the USA, which starts this weekend, and Lambert plans to use him this term.
