New Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier says his record with Liverpool should be enough for Villa fans to accept him.
He insists he's proud of his six years at Anfield.
Houllier said: "In my time we finished fourth, third, second, fifth and then fourth.
"My one regret is not to win the Premier League but if you say you have to win silverware and that is mission one - then we did that.
"If you say you have to leave a legacy, in terms of culture and style of management I did that too. The chairman told me I had put the club into the 21st century.
"And if you say your other mission is to make progress with the players, I did that too. Michael Owen won the Ballon D'Or when I was Liverpool manager."
