Inter Milan are pressing for Aston Villa youngster Gary Gardner.
The midfielder is currently recovering from a knee injury, but is rated highly by Inter's former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez, who has recommended the 18 year-old to GM Marco Branca.
One of Gerard Houllier's first tasks as new Villa manager will be to speak with Gardner and his representatives to assure him he will get a first team chance once he is fully fit.
