Fans from both Birmingham City and Aston Villa are upset over Alex McLeish's imminent defection to Villa Park.
The Daily Mail says as Villa closed in on appointing the man who quit their neighbours on Sunday, angry fans rejected the 52-year-old Scot's likely appointment.
One banner tied to the fence at Villa Park read: 'McLeish not welcome'.
Birmingham are threatening to take out an injunction to prevent McLeish working for their bitter rivals until compensation of £5.4million is paid.
Within 24 hours of McLeish's announcement, nearly 6,000 people had signed up to a Facebook page 'Aston Villa Supporters - We don't want Alex McLeish'.
