Dario Vidosic can't wait to make his Adelaide United debut this weekend when the Reds host arch rivals Melbourne Victory.
Adelaide are at the familiar surroundings of Hindmarsh Stadium when the Victory come to town on Friday night and the ex-Nuremberg man is highly anticipating the clash after missing last week's season opener with illness and injury.
Vidosic may have to come off the bench but he says as long as he plays some part in an Adelaide win he will be happy.
"At the moment I've only played 45 minutes against a local side and about 25 minutes against Melbourne Victory in the friendly, so I feel pretty good but I think we'll have to wait until tomorrow night and assess it afterwards," Vidosic said.
"If I'm needed in that (playmaker) role I'll definitely try to create as much as possible and hopefully score a few goals so I just want to do anything to help us get the win tomorrow night.
"We know what the derby is all about, I've seen what it all means, so we've had a good build up and the boys really want to put last week behind them and we're really looking forward to tomorrow night."
