Tottenham centre-back Jan Vertonghen expects that his contract will soon be extended by another season.
While his deal runs out this summer, Spurs have an option to push it ahead by another season.
And the Belgian defender expects the club to take up that option.
The 31-year-old has played 250 games for Spurs in all competitions.
"My contract is expiring at the end of the season, but Tottenham have an option to extend it with one year," he told Belgian media this week.
"I think they will take up the option. We'll see what happens."
