Hellas Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini has long-term fears for Inter Milan.
Former defender Mandorlini spent seven years with the Nerazzurri.
Asked about his old club's current situation, Mandorlini remarked: "Disappointed by the Nerazzurri? I think it's normal to expect more.
"I could draw a parallel with the Premier League: Manchester United, after initial difficulties, they bought Angel Di Maria, while in Italy this would not be possible.
"Italian football is complicated and everyone is expecting a lot more from Inter, but I think it will take time and know-how to recover."
