Venezia coach Zanetti full of pride after victory over Fiorentina

Venezia coach Paolo Zanetti was proud of victory over Fiorentina on Monday night.

The 1-0 win was Venezia's first at home in Serie A in 19 years.

“It was a perfect night, I am really happy, we beat a strong team and we had to give our all to achieve this victory," Zanetti told DAZN.

“We must be humble and know how we are. Tonight, we played against a team that is better than us. We didn't concede much and we created our chances.

“We have changed compared to last season. Sometimes we sit back, but we must make a virtue of necessity, we should never forget it."

Mattia Aramu scored the winner for the newly-promoted side.

“When I arrived here, he was stuck in one position," recalled Zanetti.

“I want him to move everywhere on the final third. He has qualities that he is also showing in Serie A. He has vision and he can still improve. He helps the team and is very smart, he can play in different roles."
