Terry Venables has declared Everton boss David Moyes as this season's Manager of the Year.
In his column for The Sun, Venables wrote: "The Scot has done an outstanding job at Goodison Park. Probably as good as any manager could have done. It has led to him being touted as a possible successor to his opposite number tomorrow.
"Is Moyes the man to take over from Fergie when he finally quits United?
"Sometimes it is easier for a foreign manager to take over at a big club, but the United board could take a chance with Moyes like they did with Fergie.
"There is no doubting the superb job he has done in re-establishing Everton as a Euro-chasing club, despite a lack of resources."
