Vejle chief Henrik Tonder says they're happy with Reims striker Hugo Ekitike over his sudden profile.
Ekitike was the subject of a €35m bid from Newcastle United last month and is now being watched by Chelsea.
The youngster had six months on-loan with Danish minnows Vejle and Tonder said: "I don't think anyone could have predicted his lightning progression, so of course we were also surprised (by the amount of the Magpies' offer). We are just happy for Hugo and Reims.
"Everyone could see his big potential and he really tapped into it as he progressed through the season.
"When he scored his first goal with Vejle, we all understood that everything was going to follow."
