Vancouver Whitecaps head coach Martin Rennie admits he may have to talk Lee Young-pyo into another MLS campaign.
The 36-year old South Korean full-back, who says this will be his final year of professional football, has kicked off the 2013 season in fine fashion with two top notch performances for the Whitecaps and Rennie wants him to play on.
"His performances the first two games have been unbelievable; I'm going to need to start talking him into playing another year," he told The Province.
And Lee, the former PSV Eindhoven, Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund man, feels 2013 could be a much brighter campaign for the British Columbia outfit.
"We are much better than last year with the combined play, the pass game," said Lee who has starred in the wins over Toronto FC (1-0) and Columbus Crew (2-1).
"A little bit different style to last season. Less long ball. It's more build up the play and look for the chance."
Vancouver does not feature in MLS play this weekend but we will be back in action when they travel to Houston Dynamo on March 24.
