Vancouver Whitecaps are negotiating a deal for Blas Perez according to reports.
The Canadian club have announced that they are hoping to tie down the Panamanian striker who left FC Dallas in December.
Perez has been with the Whitecaps at their pre-season training camp in Arizona and is on the verge of joining Carl Robinson's side as long as they can work out a deal which will see Dallas pick up the rights to Mauro Rosales.
The 'Caps posted the following on Twitter on Wednesday:
#VWFC and @FCDallas are currently discussing a deal that would involve Perez and Mauro Rosales. Details are still being finalized.

Additionally, head coach Robinson said in a statement that Vancouver were actively seeking a deal for 34-year-old Perez who has scored 36 goals in 97 regular season games for Dallas.
“We are working on a deal with Dallas, as well as Blas, but felt it was important to have him here in Tucson, training with the guys, as soon as possible," said Robinson.
“Blas is a proven goal-scorer. Everywhere he plays, he scores goals, competes, and has a natural hunger to win."
