Former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is convinced of big things from Tyrell Malacia.

Van Persie's former teammate Malacia has come in for praise from his fellow Dutchman.

The left-back arrived at United from Feyenoord in the summer and Van Persie has been impressed with how he's applied himself on the pitch.

"Tyrell Malacia, I used to play with him at Feyenoord and I'm really proud of him," he said. "The way he does it the way he plays, it's a great example for young talents. "

Malacia has been working towards becoming a regular for manager Erik ten Hag this season.
